Why do we need a diverter? Many houses in the USA have complex roof structures that create valleys. During rain, all the water from large roof area is funneled into the valley overwhelming very small section of the gutter and causing overflow onto the surfaces below. The diverter solves this problem by collecting and redistributing water to the gutter system.
